The Encounter was inspired by an unforgettable summer evening and an unexpected meeting with one of nature's most respected creatures. 

While walking in in slightly too tall grass at dusk, an unexpected encounter with a copperhead snake ended in a bite but also left behind a lasting respect for the quiet beauty and predictability of the natural world. Rather than focusing on fear, this painting captures the stillness of that moment: the fading evening light, the open pasture, and the wildlife that shares the landscape with us.
